Bank of America announced an expansion of the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell, in recognition of Women’s History Month. Due to the program’s success, Bank of America will add 50,000 seats—bringing the total enrollment of small business owners to 100,000—enabling women entrepreneurs, specifically women entrepreneurs of color, to gain critical business acumen to drive their businesses forward. This expansion is just one way the company is delivering on its commitment to advance racial equality and economic opportunity.
EY has announced a fully accredited Masters in Sustainability dedicated exclusively to the company’s 312,000 employees, in association with Hult International Business School. The new qualification is being launched alongside a recent survey of EY people across the globe that found nearly three-quarters (74%) want to participate in activities that have a positive impact on communities and the environment. All learning will be provided entirely online and candidates will be able to study from anywhere in the world, at a pace that works for them.
Fidelity Investments was featured in Fortune's CFO Daily newsletter for its new 2022 Money Moves Study. To mark the start of Women’s History Month and celebrate financial wins, the study reveals that women aged 18-35 now start investing nearly one decade earlier than women over 36. The findings further outline three saving and investing behaviors that stand out among younger women, ages 18-35 years old, as this next generation makes strides in breaking down financial boundaries.
General Motors has provided an additional $210,000 in funding for the Moving Flint Forward grant program. Organized by the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance, the joint grant program is now in its third round, which will provide 15 grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses in Flint during this grant cycle. To qualify, businesses must operate within the city of Flint, have 20 or fewer employees, and not have a franchise business or be a recipient of other Moving Flint Forward grants. Priority will be given to diverse-owned businesses.
