Member Companies in the News

Congratulations to the BCCCC members that released environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reports recently. Please join us in celebrating their achievements:

  • Element Fleet Management Corp. published its second annual ESG report, titled Delivering Real Change. The report details progress on the Company’s ESG strategy, goals and commitments first developed in 2020 and outlined in its inaugural report last year, while mapping out goals for 2022 and beyond. "The business of fleet management positions Element at the heart of decarbonization—one of the most important global ESG priorities," said Jay Forbes, president and CEO. “The work undertaken in 2021 to develop Arc by Element, an end-to-end offering to guide our clients through the ICE-to-EV transition, is a tremendous milestone in our core sustainability commitment to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and enable our clients to do the same."
  • HITT has released its 2021 Corporate Responsibility Program Summary, which features highlights in workforce wellbeing, environmental sustainability, community contributions, and more. "The responsibility to improve the lives and places touched by our work has become increasingly important as HITT grows and the magnitude of our impact increases," says Kim Roy, HITT CEO.
  • Philip Morris International Inc. (PMI) released its third annual Integrated Report, which includes an updated Statement of Purpose, a new environmental, social, and governance (ESG) framework, as well as detailed information about PMI’s strategic vision, performance, governance, and value creation model. The content was informed by a formal sustainability materiality assessment conducted in 2021.

Here is more news from the BCCCC Member Network:

Cigna's Evernorth has published a study suggesting that mental health concerns are on the rise among teens, and the impact on parents and families is an unmet need employers could address. Approximately 80% of the 1,000 parents included in Cigna's survey said their children are struggling with their mental health, and 18% say their child's needs are negatively impacting their job performance and productivity. "Today's teens are suffering from a broad range of mental health issues and our new research is an important alarm bell, signaling the far-reaching implications to the health and well-being of our families, communities, and businesses," said Cigna Corporation Chairman and CEO David M. Cordani. "We've aggressively grown our network of behavioral health providers who treat teens by 140% over the past five years and purposefully expanded our virtual care capabilities through MDLIVE and other partners."

Trane Technologies and Discovery Education have teamed up to launch a multimedia science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education experience for students in grades 5 through 10.
