New learning opportunities at the Center for Corporate Citizenship

“We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise, we harden.” —Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Corporate citizenship professionals must be lifelong learners, preparing for and responding to shifting demands, changing regulation, and the evolving context in which we live and work.
To support the increasing scope of CSR professionals, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship offers Certificate programs that provide knowledge, insights, and tools; peer networks, and well-respected credentials that can help professionals at any stage of their careers. Certificates are available to earn in a variety of formats—from in-person events throughout the country to on-demand, online options.
BCCCC is excited to announce several additions to our Executive Education calendar to support the ever-expanding work of corporate citizenship professionals. Wherever you sit in your company, here are a few ways you can earn your certificate in the coming year:
For CSR professionals looking to gain a strong foundation in corporate citizenship fundamentals, you can earn your Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Practice. Now it’s easier than ever to earn this credential: With the success of last year’s Accelerated Certificate Summit, we are excited to announce two more upcoming Summits, in which you or your colleagues can earn your Certificate through a blended learning experience that can either be completed over the course of a couple of weeks or over the course of several months (according to the preference and schedule of the learner) and at a fraction of the cost of our traditional learning path. This week-long hybrid learning experience dives deep into CSR best practices and connects core skills with elective courses most relevant to corporate citizenship work. The Summit also offers plentiful opportunities to network with colleagues to share best practices.
The next Accelerated Certificate Summits will take place on November 18-22, 2019 in San Diego, CA, and April 27 - May 1, 2020 in Boston, MA. Learn more and enroll.
If you are a corporate citizenship manager, you know that the power of your leadership lies in your ability to align and empower your stakeholders to achieve a better business and a better world. The Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management provides program managers with the strategic tools and skills to manage teams and corporate responsibility programs effectively across their company. To earn this Certificate, you can now enroll in the Corporate Citizenship Management Intensive, a rigorous and energetic five-day program on the Boston College Campus where you can learn the principles of change management, goal-setting, reporting standards, and more in collaboration with a cohort of peers in the field. According to one alumna, "When I needed to learn some of the rigor behind corporate citizenship, the Management Intensive training helped me to get the foundation that really has led me to where I am now.” Enroll in the next Management Intensive to earn your Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management on March 2-6, 2020 in Boston, MA.
Even if you don’t sit at the top of the organization, as a corporate citizenship professional your leadership skills are critical to your company’s success in achieving its purpose. For senior managers and emerging leaders, the Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Leadership can help you develop the leadership skills you need to lead and drive change in your organization. This experience provides opportunity to reflect on your personal leadership style and to develop skills that will help you to take the next steps in your career. To earn this Certificate, enroll in the Corporate Citizenship Leadership Academy, a half-year program that blends on-campus and remote learning, culminating in a Leaders' Summit during the International Corporate Citizenship Conference—which is included in tuition. “The Leadership Academy has transformed the way we engage with stakeholders across the company,” one alumna recently said. “I use the lessons literally every day in my job.” Enroll in the next Leadership Academy to earn your Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Leadership, starting Nov 4-8, 2019.
At the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, we understand that corporate citizenship professionals must invest in continuous learning. We thank you for sharing your journey with us as we work together to create the future in which we want to do business and the future in which we want to live.
