Aramark celebrated women leaders at its company with its first EMPOWER Awards in celebration of Women’s History Month. The awards were presented at a virtual symposium hosted by EMPOWER, Aramark’s largest employee resource group (ERG), that works to accelerate the advancement of women leaders. Aramark recognized the following outstanding women leaders and allies:

Akamai Foundation proudly published its first annual report, Unite, Engage, Empower for Social Good, in just its second year since being established. The foundation reports that it intended to grow in 2020, but nowhere near the scale that it actually did due to the pandemic. Akamai Foundation looks forward to collaborating with its stakeholders on continuing its programs, from its racial equality and social justice public matching gift program to global STEM education grants.
ESPN published a press release encouraging the public to vote for its video submission to the International Corporate Citizenship Film Festival. The video tells the story of how ESPN worked with colleagues, communities, sports leagues, advertisers, and others to launch the #oneteam campaign to spread messages of safety, hope, and inspiration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yum! Brands has joined in partnership with How2Recycle, the leading recycling labeling system in the US and Canada. Yum!’s membership with How2Recycle will help its brands in reaching a number of their waste reduction goals, including KFC pledging to make all plastic-based, consumer-facing packaging recoverable or reusable globally; and Taco Bell pledging to make all its consumer-facing packaging recyclable, compostable, or reusable, and add recycling and/or composting bins to restaurants globally.
