Tami Erwin, vice president and chief executive officer of Verizon Business Group, recently sat down with the Wall Street Journal's Secrets of Wealthy Women podcast to discuss leading a global team remotely. Ms. Erwin explains some of the challenges of remote leadership and how she thinks women can propel their careers when they can’t see their managers face to face. "I think there’s something really special about face-to-face communication. We’re social creatures," said Erwin. "We’ll find a balance between the best of what we’ve learned from COVID-19 and the best of what we’ve had in the past that will give us a great environment that will be effective for everybody."
Odreanne' White, workplace solution officer II at BBVA, was featured on the cover of CEO-mother for her work as a real estate owner, mother, and successful trailblazer. On being featured, White said, “I was hesitant at first, but I remembered I have a purpose in life. This is why it is so important that we pay attention our actions. We never know who’s looking at us or up to us.”
