S&P Dow Jones Indices announced the results of the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) review. The 20th anniversary of the DJSI World, and several companies announced their placement on the index, including: BBVA, Baxter International, CBRE Group, Duke Energy, Las Vegas Sands, Nasdaq, Newmont Goldcorp, Regeneron, and Santander.

EY celebrated the 10-year anniversary of College MAP, a model of private-sector mentoring to support access to education for underserved youth and develop future generations of talent. "We are so very proud of our passionate EY College MAP mentors and the students who are working hard to attain their college dreams," said Deborah Holmes, EY Americas corporate responsibility director.

The Merck Foundation launched a $7 million, five-year initiative to help reduce disparities in access to care and improve health outcomes for persons with HIV living in vulnerable and underserved Southeastern U.S. communities. “We need to accelerate solutions that address the growing disparities in patients’ access to HIV care and health outcomes, and focus on communities that are most affected,” said Dr. Julie Louise Gerberding, executive vice president and chief patient officer at Merck

Morgan Stanley released its biennial Sustainable Signals survey. Key finding: More than 80% of individual investors are interested in sustainable investing while 50% are actually acting and taking party in at least one sustainable investment.

MUFG released its 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ReportBuilding a Vibrant Future. “With growing concerns around climate change and pressing societal challenges, we are looking at where we can use our scale and expertise to have positive impacts through our businesses, products, and philanthropy,” said Julius Robinson, head of corporate social responsibility for the Americas, MUFG Union Bank.

TD Bank was featured in SNJ Today for teaching soft skills, including workplace communication, resume writing, and job interview skills, to students in Camden, NJ. “The TD team wanted to use their time and professional skills to give back to their community, and we’re so glad we could expand on this partnership and make it happen,” said event partner Christy Tighe, director of college & career readiness for junior achievement New Jersey.
