The Clorox Company has announced that, effective Sept. 14, 2020, Linda Rendle will be promoted to chief executive officer and elected to the company's board of directors. "I love this company and our people around the world who have become like family over the past 17 years," said Rendle. "I step into this role with great optimism for the future of our company and global portfolio of trusted brands, and immense confidence in our talented and passionate people around the world."

The United States Environmental Protection Agency has announced its Green Power Partnership Fortune 500® Partners List, which consists of 70 companies using nearly 39 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power annually, which is equivalent to the electricity use of nearly 4 million average American homes. Duke Energy has announced a partnership with SustainRNG to harness renewable natural gas (RNG) on dairy farms, starting in the southeastern United States. “Duke Energy is committed to supporting sustainable energy solutions, and our partnership with SustainRNG will bring more renewable natural gas into the market, which benefits both the environment and customers,” said Phillip Grigsby, Duke Energy’s senior vice president of ventures and business development. “In addition, these projects will create jobs, both in the construction and ongoing operation of the RNG facilities.”

General Mills and Musim Mas Group have launched a joint program to build robust and sustainable extension services for the oil palm farmers in Aceh Singkil, Indonesia. The initiative is part of an overall strategy to reduce deforestation by improving livelihoods. “As part of General Mills ongoing commitment to protecting forests and peatlands, we see an increasing need to support on-the-ground activities that address the drivers of deforestation within high-risk production landscapes such as Indonesia’s Leuser Ecosystem,” said Kevin O’Donnell, global director of sourcing and operations sustainability at General Mills. General Mills has pledged to fund the first year of the two-year program that aims to reach 1,000 smallholders.

  • DuPont has released its 2020 sustainability report, Solution makers, which explores how DuPont’s innovation culture and diverse portfolio have positioned the company to deliver science-based solutions that create sustainable, positive societal change, and competitive advantages in essential areas such as clean water, health and safety, high- speed connectivity, and automotive electrification.
  • Subaru of America, Inc. has released its second annual corporate impact report. The report, titled More than a Car Company, details the automaker's commitment to its customers, commitment to the communities in which Subaru employees live, work, and serve, and commitment to upholding its core values, each and every day.
