CoBank is stepping in to serve its community in the Midwest, which was ravaged by a rare and severe inland storm on August 10. Partnering with other lenders, CoBank is supporting the American Red Cross by donating to aid relief efforts in the impacted region. “America’s heartland has been hit with a significant natural disaster that could not have come at a more difficult time," said Thomas Halverson, CoBank’s president and CEO. "Our organizations hope that this joint contribution will help to ease the most immediate suffering and assist our customers, members, partners and their communities as they begin the journey to recovery."

Wells Fargo is rethinking how it can help Americans struggling to put meals on the table. To help answer the growing food insecurity crisis, Wells Fargo is transforming key locations into a network of food distribution centers through the fall. By teaming up with Feeding America, Wells Fargo is helping to distribute more food to communities in need across the country. Wells Fargo is aiming to provide 50 million meals to help feed seniors, children, adults, and families.
USAA has committed an additional $30 million to benefit 24 organizations assisting military families during these challenging economic times. The donation is part of USAA’s long standing mission to support military and veterans’ families, and in recognition of the specific impact the COVID-19 health crisis has had on the military community. “This gift honors the resolve and sacrifice of our military community as well as the challenges they face by making sure they and their families have the support they need,” USAA president and CEO Wayne Peacock said. “Caring for military families is our passion, whether it’s through serving our members or supporting military-related causes. We hope this contribution provides vital, long-lasting support to the military community at a time when they are essential to our nation’s recovery efforts.”
