Spotlight on You
#GivingTuesday founding partner Blackbaud posted a livestream of the event featuring stories of impact by members of the social good community. The video features host Zach Bechtel, senior digital engagement manager at Blackbaud, interviewing Blackbaud’s CSR Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy Rachel Hutchisson and others. “Giving Tuesday is really a day that amplifies whatever you care about—it's a movement,” said Hutchisson. "It's inspiring to see how much collective action is happening within companies, both through the work you're doing as a brand but also just through our individual people."
Nick Li, director of security at the Hilton Chengdu, was the latest Hilton employee featured in the company's #Room702 video series, which honors some of the Hilton employees who are furthering founder Conrad Hilton’s vision to spread peace and cultural understanding through travel. "Nick has become a well-respected leader at the hotel," said Lou Dubois, director of content at Hilton. "He spends much of his free time giving back to create a better future for underprivileged children through education."
Join Kären Woodruff, vice president, corporate philanthropy and community relations at Wells Fargo, in celebrating how her company advances women’s empowerment. "I’m bursting with pride!" Woodruff said of the program. "Community building at its finest,” she said in a LinkedIn post. “Wells Fargo supports Women’s Empowerment to help formerly homeless women get jobs and become self-sustaining!"

At the start of the United Nations #COP25 Climate Change Conference, more than 70 companies and union leaders—including leaders from Apple, Adidas, Adobe, Bank of America, Brown-Forman, Dow, Hilton, Microsoft, National Grid, PSEG, Verizon, and The Walt Disney Co.—issued a call for the United States to stay in the Paris Agreement.

Nike Design celebrated three years of supporting With Love, a nonprofit organization that provides kids ages 0-6 in foster care with clothes, gear, and family-focused events. This year, teammates gathered to create 1000 custom pillowcases that are then filled with holiday gifts. The ice-dyeing technique they used ensures that every pillowcase as is as unique as the child receiving it.
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has launched a new initiative involving a coalition of charitable organizations and technology experts aimed at addressing environmental challenges. “We see immense potential for technology to accelerate and scale solutions to the most pressing environmental challenges,” said RBC Vice-President, Corporate Citizenship, Valerie Chort. “We are investing in technology-based programs and initiatives with our charitable partners to address these issues that are facing us globally.”
