Popular CEO, Ignacio Alvarez, coordinated emergency response efforts among the branches of Puerto Rico's largest bank, while employing a set of policies to ensure customers aren’t penalized for late payments or needing quick cash after the storm. Popular said it will eliminate late fees on personal loans and mortgages. In addition, the bank will allow non-customers to withdraw money from its ATMs for free and will waive fees for customers using off-network ATMs. "Unfortunately, we've gotten pretty good at this," Alvarez said of the bank's response efforts, referencing the island's recent run-ins with powerful storms.

Vertex CEO and President, Reshma Kewalramani, was recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) with its Pinnacle Award, which recognises an individual who is widely acknowledged as a leader in their industry. "My upbringing as an Indian American informs every day I have spent as a physician, an executive, a mother and a wife," said Kewalramani in an interview.

Dr. Alveda Williams, corporate director of inclusion at Dow, recently celebrated her twentieth anniversary with the company. "As I reflect on the journey, I am grateful for: the people… The possibilities… The purpose-driven work… The progress…" Williams wrote in a recent Twitter post.
