Participants in Brazil will receive the same certificate as those in the United States.

São Paulo, March 13, 2019 - For the first time, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC) is offering executive education training in Brazil. The American practice comes to the country in an exclusive partnership with Arbex & Company, a sustainability consulting and training company based in Amsterdam and São Paulo, founded by Nelmara Arbex.

The Course "Management Intensive: Essential Tools for Corporate Citizenship Managers" takes place over five days and provides a comprehensive and engaging workload for managers responsible for executing corporate citizenship. The custom, onsite program is carried out "in-company"—that is, in the corporate location of the participant’s choosing—and is offered in both English and Portuguese. Participants who complete the program will receive a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship under the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. This is the same certificate that participants receive when they complete the program in the United States.

“By expanding our Management Intensive training to Brazil, we are excited to give corporate citizenship managers in South America the same opportunities as their U.S. colleagues to lead their programs and companies to success,” said Katherine V. Smith, executive director, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. “We are also pleased to be considered as a resource that can help deepen the practice of strategic corporate citizenship among companies with operations in Brazil.”

"I have no doubt that, in today's challenging context, it is critical to prepare who is in today's day-to-day organizations to understand and strategically deal with the social and environmental challenges and opportunities—as well as the reputational risks are a part of the digital era. To that end, we have developed a partnership with the BCCCC and will launch several other courses with this theme," explains Nelmara Arbex, CEO of Arbex & Company and teaching fellow for the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship.
