ONLINE | Corporate Citizenship Certificate of Practice

BCCCC offers a Corporate Citizenship Certificate of Practice, allowing CSR professionals to grow their understanding of the changing field. This certificate program is very flexible as it can be completely fully online, is self-paced, and offers multiple elective courses to best fit the needs of your CSR position. To gain the Certificate in Practice, you must take three required courses, and any two electives from our extensive list of courses.

Certificate Requirements

To complete this certificate program, you need to enroll in five total courses. Along with two electives, you must take three required courses: Corporate Citizenship Strategy, Impact Measurement for Corporate Citizenship, and Corporate Citizenship Communications

This course will help you employ effective business strategy models to align your CSR efforts with company goals and gain the support of senior leaders.

Impact Measurement

This course will help you increase program awareness, develop campaigns that engage stakeholders, and craft overall more persuasive, compelling messages.

This introductory course covers the primary concepts, ideas, and language of corporate citizenship, offering practical models and useful tools. 

 

Corporate Citizenship Partnership Management

 

The most effective partnerships between corporations and NPOs bring together complementary skills and resources that enable partners to achieve together goals that neither could accomplish alone. 

Fundamentals of Employee Volunteer Programs

 

This course will give you the tools to create or continuously improve volunteer programs that are highly recognizable, valued programs that help build better partnerships, deepen engagement among employees, and contribute to the company’s visibility and reputation.

Brand and Reputation: Build Trust with Stakeholders

 

This course explores how corporate citizenship professionals can create more business and social value by building the networks, resilience, and results that lead to a better brand.

Fundamentals of Sustainability Reporting

 

This course dives into the benefits of reporting, such as highlighting corporate culture, improving performance along the environmental, social, or governance (ESG) dimensions of business informing strategy, establishing accountability, providing transparency, or engaging employees. 

Integrated Reporting: Connecting ESG Metrics with Overall Performance

 

This course will teach you how to leverage an integrated report as a management tool that will help guide your company toward greater collaboration and better decision-making.

CDP Reporting: Measuring Environmental Impact

 

This course enhances your reporting capability, highlights alignment with other frameworks such as the Global Reporting Index (GRI) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), and familiarizes participants with the background, methodology, and questionnaire. 

 

Reporting with the GRI Standards

 

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the most commonly used reporting framework, and is used not only to report progress on ESG investments, but also to improve internal management and governance practices around sustainability. 

 

Reporting with the ISSB

 

Aligning with ISSB standards helps companies identify inefficiencies, cut costs, and manage sustainability-related risks more effectively.

 

 

CSRD Aligned Reporting

To earn your Corporate Citizenship Certificate of Practice you must complete five total courses (three required & two electives). However, you do not need to register for all five courses at once. This program allows you to work at your own pace (and according to your available budget). You can build up to the five-course requirement over time, if necessary.
