Darrel Taylor, LCSW, is a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work, where he also earned his MSW. Darrel teaches History of Activism in Black Communities, bringing a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment into the classroom.
In his full-time role, Darrel conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments with veterans, helping to identify their strengths, needs, goals, and preferences. He also coordinates housing services as part of an integrated clinical treatment plan, applying evidence-based interventions such as Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Critical Time Intervention, and Harm Reduction to support homeless and chronically homeless Veterans.
Before entering the field of social work, Darrel served in the U.S. Army as a Human Resources Sergeant with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
