Between international colloquia, we have hosted a G.R.A.C.E. virtual lecture series.
The overarching goal of the G.R.A.C.E. lecture series is to share scholarship and increase dialogue with international colleagues committed to Catholic education.

The recent publication of Gallardo’s Leading Change: Heart, Head, Hands will be reviewed where he will explore the crossroads we face in education: domination and control, focusing on systems built on compliance, efficiency, and standardization that reinforce hierarchies of power; and solidarity and care, a vision of education that nurtures creativity, agency, and human connection.
The Meanings That Keep Us Going in a Challenging Profession -- Fr. Cristóbal Madero Cabib, S.J.

From Alberto Hurtado University, Santiago, Chile, Father Cristóbal's research interests center on personal identity, teacher meaning and beliefs, education in emergence, teacher attraction and retention, and evolution and behavior of the Catholic school subsystem in Latin America.
Fr. Cristobal has written several scholarly articles in renowned international journals. His most recent work, The Meanings That Keep Us Going in a Challenging Profession, published in the Jesuit Education Quarterly, brings the South American, Chilean perspective to teacher meaning, belief, and professionalism.
Formation for Mission: Examining the Impact of Wellsprings -- William Sultmann

Wellsprings was developed as a body of evaluative surveys, assessing the impact of formation for mission activities for Catholic school staff. The metaphor, Wellsprings, brings together the experience of ministry with the sacred mission of the school within the life of the Church in harmony with the Gospel. Three core instruments: Mission Practice (Pre); Mission Learning; and Mission Practice (Post) constitute the generic formation measures in support of advancing mission in ways that integrate faith with personal, relational, professional and school community practices. Applied within a digital platform the instruments facilitate personal formation planning, identification of group trends, and support of formators to respond to individual and contextual factors.
The G.R.A.C.E. Global Colloquium
Boston College proudly hosted the 2026 third international G.R.A.C.E. Colloquium.
Hosted from Sunday, 28 June to Tuesday, 30 June 2026 on the campus of Boston College, the G.R.A.C.E. Colloquium theme was: "Cultivating Hearts & Minds: Formative Education in Catholic Schools."
The Roche Center for Catholic Education at Boston College created a G.R.A.C.E. 2026 webpage with all information from the G.R.A.C.E. Colloquium, including a listing of offered keynotes and sessions.
Previous G.R.A.C.E. colloquia took place in June 2025 at St. Mary's University, England and in January 2024 at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Australia. Thank you to these G.R.A.C.E. global partners for hosting the G.R.A.C.E. global colloquium!
