Kelsey Renda is the longtime Director of the Edmund H. Shea Jr. Center for Entrepreneurship at Boston College, where she has overseen all Center programs and initiatives for the past decade. Under her leadership, the Shea Center has become a vibrant hub for entrepreneurial activity on campus—supporting hundreds of students annually through programs like Accelerate@Shea, the Freshman Innovation Program, TechTrek, and the Strakosch Venture Competition. Under Kelsey's leadership, the Center has blossomed into a dynamic hub, offering a rich tapestry of academic courses, co-curricular activities, and experiential learning opportunities that engage over 1,000 students each semester.

A proud double Eagle, Kelsey earned both her B.A. in Communications and MBA from Boston College. She brings a deep understanding of the Jesuit, Catholic learning tradition that shapes the University's mission, and she has worked to embed those values into the Center’s programming—fostering ethical leadership and purpose-driven innovation.

Prior to joining the Shea Center, Kelsey held roles in membership, public relations, and sales at the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she built skills in communications, operations, and relationship management—while gaining firsthand exposure to Boston’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Kelsey’s combined experience in communications, program development, and community-building continues to shape the Shea Center’s impact—both on the Heights and across the broader startup landscape.
