The largest of OGSL’s signature programs, Orientation is held virtually throughout the summer for over 3,000 incoming graduate students in over 90 disciplines in eight graduate schools and colleges. Orientation is designed to prepare new students for their graduate school journey, introduce them to key resources at the University, and welcome and assist them in their transition to BC and the Boston area.

New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation Learning Outcomes:

Students who complete the New Graduate and Professional Student Virtual Orientation modules will be able to:

  1. Name at least one item to complete from the Incoming Graduate or Law Student Checklist

  2. Identify at least one opportunity for involvement as a graduate student

  3. Anticipate one potential challenge they may face as a graduate student and identify a resource they would utilize for support in navigating that challenge
