BCaring Week (10/27 - 11/2)

Inspired by the Jesuit mission of being “students for others,” BCaring Week will highlight respect and care across the BC community. Through programs and messaging, students are encouraged to reflect on the impact of their words and actions, look out for one another, and help foster a culture of care.

Timed around Halloween on Friday, October 31, and the Notre Dame game on Saturday, November 1., BCaring Week will serve as an essential reminder to celebrate responsibly, look out for one another, and be considerate of the broader on and off-campus community.

Cultivating Care at Boston College

The BCaring Campaign is an ongoing initiative led by Boston College’s Office of the Dean of Students, designed to foster a deeper sense of community and reflect the university’s Jesuit values, including attentiveness, reflection, and care for others. Central to the campaign is encouraging members of the BC community to recognize and appreciate acts of care and compassion across campus, especially on game days and during major events.

        What It Means to BCaring:

  • Live out the call to be “students for others” by making choices that reflect empathy, responsibility, and a commitment to the common good.
  • Foster a shared understanding of our Jesuit tradition by embracing attentiveness, reflection, and love in all aspects of life at Boston College.
  • Model integrity by aligning values with actions, demonstrating consistency, accountability, and character in every setting.
  • Promote shared expectations by reporting behavior or campus accessibility issues through the resources available at bc.edu/report.
  • Recognize and respect the contributions of frontline and facilities staff, whose work helps ensure that our campus remains safe and clean.
