Remembering Welles Remy Crowther '99
Every year, the BC community honors "the Man in the Red Bandanna," a hero who died saving the lives of others on September 11, 2001.
The Volunteer and Service Learning Center is the primary portal for all service activity offered at Boston College, with a strong commitment to the Greater Boston community. We support the education and formation of our students by promoting conscientious service in the context of Catholic social teaching and contemporary Jesuit education.
Boston College offers opportunities for real-life, community-based learning experiences both at home and abroad.
The VSLC offers programs and supports both student and faculty/staff initiatives that seek to create change and lead to greater social justice for the most vulnerable among us.
Learn more about funding opportunities, including point drives, service and justice grants, BC legacy grants, and more.
The VSLC helps students discover ways they can offer themselves in service to others, both during their time on the Heights and after graduation.
Meet some of our students and hear why they volunteer and find it so fulfilling.
