REGULATORY RADAR - The Los Angeles Superior Court recently ruled to overturn California’s law requiring companies to include women on their boards of directors. The gender diversity law was found to be in violation of the California Constitution’s equal protection clause.

REGULATORY RADAR - AB 979 is a California law which required California-headquartered public companies to have a certain number of ethnically and racially diverse or LGBTQ+ members on their boards of directors. On April 1, 2022, this law was struck down by the Superior Court of California.
