What will the virtual conference experience be like?

We have selected the most state-of-the-art virtual conference platform to provide the dynamic networking and learning experience you have come to expect from our annual International Corporate Citizenship Conference. This robust platform gives attendees the full conference experience, including:

  • The ability to connect in real time with other corporate citizenship professionals in attendance to share learnings, successes, and best practices.
  • Get your choice of more than 30 sessions of live content with interactive Q&A
  • Gain access for one year to the full conference archive, including video, slides, reports, and more
Can I register to attend the International Corporate Citizenship Conference in-person?

No, this year's conference is 100% virtual.

What’s your policy on cancellation, refunds, and transfers?

Registrations are transferrable but non-refundable. Attendees may attend any of the live events and networking via the virtual conference platform at any time during the event, and are welcome to skip those events that they cannot accommodate in their schedule for later viewing. Attendees will have access to all conference content for one year, including more than 30 session recordings, slides, research, and other documents. Attendees will also have access to the virtual platform and networking functionality for three months following the conference.

Confirmed conference registrants who cannot attend the conference virtually and do not want to take advantage of the benefits above may transfer their registration to a colleague in their company up to one week prior to the conference (April 16, 2021) at no charge. If the conference registrant decides to transfer the registration after April 16, there is a $50 transfer fee. Please email registration@bc.edu with transfer requests.

I registered for the 2020 International Corporate Citizenship Conference before it was cancelled. What are my options?

We’re offering our 2020 Conference registrants options for participating in the 2021 International Corporate Citizenship Conference or our other programs. All 2020 Conference attendees should have received an email from someone on our team about next steps—if you didn’t hear from us, please email us at registration@bc.edu.

What can I expect to get out of the 2021 International Corporate Citizenship Conference?

Premier networking: Connect with professionals from leading corporations from diverse industries and geographic regions in our state-of-the-art virtual conference app. You'll have access to self-directed, on-demand networking by video, phone, or chat. We can also provide suggestions for colleagues with whom you might like to connect—ranging from 1-on-1 matchmaking to group chats based on interest area or industry. We are planning more than 30 sessions of live content, with interactive Q&A and access to the full archive for one year. Exchange ideas, experiences, and challenges with a knowledgeable and committed network of corporate citizenship experts.

Valuable tools and frameworks: Through interactive sessions, participants will learn new methods and techniques to help build their capacity for developing integrated corporate citizenship strategies and programs.

Access to cutting edge research:

  • Learn about current education and research initiatives.
  • Collect the latest BCCCC publications and research reports.
  • Connect with BCCCC staff to access case studies, best practice learning, and presentations from both BCCCC and leading corporations.
  • Learn from your peers and share challenges in a more intimate setting throughout the conference.
Who should attend the 2021 conference?

Anyone working on the corporate citizenship or sustainability activities inside a corporation can attend the International Corporate Citizenship Conference. Our participant mix includes entry level to senior professionals, representing more than 400 corporations, traveling from more than two dozen countries. 

Please note that registration is open exclusively to corporate citizenship practitioners inside of companies. Nonprofit professionals, consultants, media, students, and academics are not typically a part of our participant mix unless they are a content partner. If you have questions about your eligibility to attend the conference, please email registration@bc.edu.

How can I contribute to the 2021 conference?

The Center for Corporate Citizenship depends on sponsorship to help sustain our efforts in providing you with the most compelling research and learning opportunities. If your organization would like to consider sponsoring this year's program, please contact ccc@bc.edu.

The best way to educate your organization on corporate citizenship is by attending the International Corporate Citizenship Conference. Invite members of your team, senior management, and those who need to know more about driving a corporate citizenship agenda.

Can I get Boston College credit for attending the 2021 conference?

No. Participation in the International Corporate Citizenship Conference is not applicable toward completion of one of the Center for Corporate Citizenship's certificate programs, nor is it an accredited program administered by the University

Where is the 2021 conference being held?

We are currently opening registration for the virtual option of the event. If conditions allow, we will add an in-person experience at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD. You may indicate your preference to attend the event in-person, if it becomes possible for us to host a live event, on the registration form.

How do I register for the 2021 conference?

Visit the Registration Page to attend. As a reminder, registration is open exclusively to corporate citizenship practitioners and CSR professionals inside of companies. Nonprofit professionals, consultants, media and academics are not typically part of our participant mix unless they are a content partner.
