Jeff Rangel, senior director of global corporate responsibility at Palo Alto Networks, celebrated his company’s signing of the Climate Pledge, a coalition 200+ corporate signatories working together to solve the challenges of decarbonizing our economy. “When the corporate vision is a world that is safer and more secure, it's critical that we at Palo Alto Networks execute sustainability strategies that align with that aim,” said Rangel on LinkedIn. “Of course, addressing climate change takes more than a signature—it takes action, and we accept the challenge!

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts was featured in WBUR for taking a new approach to address disparities in care for people of color. The insurer says it will financially reward doctors who improve care for Black, Hispanic, and Asian patients. Blue Cross executives say amid the recent racial justice reckoning after the murder of George Floyd last year and the pandemic, they want to focus on narrowing the differences in care among white patients and patients of color.
Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. announced that it will lend and invest $5 billion over the next three years to help strengthen local communities. Berkshire's "BEST Community Comeback" is a multi-year plan that will focus on strengthening communities in four key areas: fueling small businesses, community financing and philanthropy, financial access and empowerment, and funding environmental sustainability.
CBRE Group, Inc. announced its commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040. This commitment encompasses carbon emissions from CBRE’s own operations and the properties it manages for investors and occupiers, as well as indirect supply chain emissions. CBRE also signed The Climate Pledge, a commitment to achieving net-zero-carbon 10 years ahead of the goal stated in the Paris Agreement.
FedEx and Red Cross have teamed up to support patients with sickle cell. While FedEx has supported the Red Cross over the last 20 years through disaster relief efforts and blood donation distributions, the company stepped in to assist this particular initiative through its FedEx Cares 50 by 50 campaign by providing additional services to transport blood donations while increasing its monetary donations. Together, these contributions have totaled more than $1 million in support since 2019, while directly helping many individuals suffering from sickle cell disease across the U.S.
