Spotlight on You

Aaron Bertinetti has been named as the new head of ESG for investor relations for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Bertinetti is the former head of environmental, social and governance (ESG) research at proxy advisor Glass, Lewis & Co, and will assume the new position to help the company communicate better on ESG with investors and research analysts.

Jimmie Walton Paschall, executive vice president, head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Wells Fargo, spoke on Black Enterprise's Chief Diversity Officers Roundtable on diversity strategies and why they are more important than ever.

CoBank and Farm Credit Mid-America have joined Land O’Lakes, Inc. to support flood relief efforts in Tennessee, following devastating storms and flooding. These three of the nation’s leading agriculture cooperatives will together donate $80,000 of cash and in-kind products to support the communities in Tennessee ravaged by the recent natural disasters.

LyondellBasell commemorated the twentieth anniversary of 9/11 in its hometown of Houston with thoughtful and reverent community involvement efforts. The company unveiled a new mural in downtown Houston honoring first responders, created by Houston-based artist Donkeeboy. In addition to the mural, LyondellBasell donated to two different organizations that support first responders: $100,000 to Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX), a leader in the delivery of emergency response training for first responders; and $100,000 to the Texas Task Force Foundation, a federal response team under FEMA’s National Urban Search and Rescue System.

This week, Merck celebrated the 10-year anniversary of "Merck for Mothers," an initiative to improve maternal health outcomes globally. A timeline for the program shared by Mary-Ann Etiebet, Merck’s associate vice president of health equity, illustrates the company's decade of progress: collaborations, investments, and innovations that have enabled 13 million women and counting to receive safe, high-quality, and respectful maternity care.
