Winston Center says goodbye to inaugural director

Dick Keeley, the Winston Center’s inaugural director, stepped down from his role in May. Monetta Edwards, formerly assistant director, succeeded Keeley as the Center's director. Keeley, who was the Carroll School’s senior associate dean of undergraduates, assumed the director role at the Center's founding in May 2006.

This semester’s Lunch with a Leader series featured alum Richard A.C. Coles ’90, managing principal at the Vanbarton Group who talked to students about his drive for success while maintaining a work-life balance.

Jenks Leadership Program

Jenks Class of 2018 co-directors attend a leadership conference at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Six groups presented their final projects and Susan Kourtis '18 received the Joe Bonito Award at this year's Jenks graduation.

Student Grants

The Center awarded travel grants to students who traveled to countries including the Dominican Republic, Beirut, and Prague; and internship grants to students who had unpaid summer internships at organizations that focus on areas like healthcare policy, economic planning, and human rights.
