Not only have I met some of my life long friends through working with CSW, but I have felt so fulfilled by connecting with peer clients.

Describe an impactful event, program, or relationship related to the center.
CSW has absolutely transformed all the relationships in my life. Learning better ways to take care of myself and my community has taught me a lot about friendship and the type of person I want to be. Not only have I met some of my life long friends through working with CSW, but I have felt so fulfilled by connecting with peer clients.

How do you practice self-care?
My favorite way to practice self-care is journaling outside! I began my freshman year when I was having a tough time, but it is still my favorite part of everyday. Writing and doodling grounds me, sparks creativity & confidence, and helps me work through emotions in a healthy way.

There have been a few times where the discussion we have has not only helped the student move a step closer to their ideal self, but I also get fulfillment by being a part of that journey.

Hometown: Randolph, Massachusetts

Describe an impactful event, program, or relationship related to the center.
The relationships I form with the student who is sitting in front of me during a BeWell conversation is so impactful. There have been a few times where the discussion we have has not only helped the student move a step closer to their ideal self, but I also get fulfillment by being a part of that journey. Sometimes I see some of my past sessions around and usually when I check in they're in a good place which just really solidifies my passion for this work.

How do you practice self-care?
I practice self-care by reflecting on what my needs are at any given space and then working on increasing what is unbalanced. One of my favorite things right now is skipping rocks. I find it very peaceful and grounding. It allows me to be focused on a task while being in nature. I find it very spiritually healing.

I love making a positive difference in people's lives. No matter the student that comes in, we always come away with something positive to take away from the conversation that will help them become a better version of themselves.

Hometown: Wilton, Connecticut

Describe an impactful event, program, or relationship related to the center.
A Wellness Coaching Session is a pleasant and gratifying conversation between you and a trained peer wellness coach like myself. It is centered around one of the many aspects of health and wellness including time management, social life, sleep, nutrition, spirituality, etc. It is a judgment-free conversation that the student guides as we assist you in creating goals and designing the life that you want to live here at BC and beyond. I enjoy Wellness Coaching because I love making a positive difference in people's lives. No matter the student that comes in, we always come away with something positive to take away from the conversation that will help them become a better version of themselves.

How do you practice self-care?
One of my favorite ways to practice self-care is with the 5 Minute Journal. This is a journal where in the morning you write 3 things you are grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, and a daily affirmation. Then at night, you write 3 highlights of the day and something you learned. I love this because not only does it foster an appreciative and grateful mindset, but I also began to actively seek out activities or things that would become highlights of my day. Other self-care practices that I do include exercising daily (typically through running or lifting), hanging out with friends, and spending time in nature (especially in the fall).

When life gets busy and stress is high, I try to be intentional about relaxing—this includes listening to music, hanging out with friends, and exercising.

Hometown: Miami, Florida

Describe an impactful event, program, or relationship related to the center.
During finals, CSW hosts a finals relaxation event that helps students decompress and destress. Students come by during study breaks to take advantage of our massage therapists, food, and arts and crafts.

How do you practice self-care?
I practice self-care by making time for myself and listening to my body. When life gets busy and stress is high, I try to be intentional about relaxing—this includes listening to music, hanging out with friends, and exercising.
