About The Center
Advancing Corporate Citizenship
Based in the Carroll School of Management, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship was founded in 1985, inspired by an early recognition that community expectations of companies were changing. We combine the most valuable aspects of a professional community and the resources of a leading academic institution for our network of over 400 member companies. We provide corporate citizenship resources that support positive outcomes for your company, your functional area, your team and for you as a leader.
The Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship differs from other CSR organizations in four important ways:
- SIZE – comprised of a network of over 400 member companies. We engage more than 10,000 individuals annually.
- SCOPE – corporate citizenship is a broad field, encompassing a wide variety of job titles, responsibilities, and issues. Impartial and research-based, we help professionals maximize business and social value through tools and knowledge to achieve more through environmental, social, and governance investments.
- SERVICES – we offer professional development, corporate citizenship certificate programs, access to an online community of peers, regional programs, timely research, best practice updates via our blog, a quarterly magazine, issue briefs, and an annual conference addressing the challenges that corporate citizenship professionals face. Member companies receive a dedicated account manager to help leverage available resources based on your needs and can request custom information to address critical issues.
- EXPERIENCE – since 1985, the Center has been a leader in the corporate citizenship field, drawing on the community of professionals, original research, and resources of the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
