Transparency is a key part of the company’s commitment as a corporate citizen. However, as a small company, Seventh Generation has struggled to identify the most effective way to use reporting as a tool to drive internal and external “systems change.” This case study examines the approach that Seventh Generation has taken to discussing difficult issues in its report and what it contributes to the company’s objective of preserving its “essence” during a period of rapid growth.
