This case study describes the challenges Novo Nordisk has faced as its reports evolved from separate financial, environmental and social reports, to a financial and a sustainability report, and finally to an integrated “triple bottom line” (TBL) report. In addition, this study examines the contribution reporting can make – and its limitations – for a company committed to embedding the TBL into its business decisions.
